Milton burn was experiencing severe erosion on its banks and the team wanted to explore cost effective methods to help protect and restore the bank.
Chris Savage, project manager discusses the projects journey, looking at the challenges of the site to the success stories. For this project, brash bundles and root wads provided the necessary bank stabilisation to ensure that no further field area was lost to the erosion from the Milton Burn.
